# Standalone checker

> The checker also works without an agent.

```sh theme={null}
git clone https://github.com/SterlingJF/knowledge-bus.git
cd knowledge-bus
uv run kbp
```

The checkout can inspect a universe without writing or generate an offline Explorer at an explicit destination:

```sh theme={null}
uv run kbp --inspect path/to/.knowledge-bus/
uv run kbp --explore --output path/to/.knowledge-bus/explorer/<universe-id> path/to/.knowledge-bus/
```

Print the card for one document type, or list every document type:

```sh theme={null}
uv run kbp --card <kind> path/to/.knowledge-bus/
uv run kbp --kinds path/to/.knowledge-bus/
```
